SOME LIKE IT NOT
The tallest buildings in the Bloomingdale and Morningside Heights neighborhoods are listed below. Except for Riverside Church, which became operational in 1930, all of them were constructed after World War II. The Bloomingdale-Morningside Heights neighborhood has one of the best collections of pre-war apartment buildings in the world. Most of these buildings are approximately 150 to 160 feet tall in accordance to the maximum height allowed by the zoning plan adopted in 1916.
